Courtney Youphoriafy began her career path in ecstatic dance in 2021 after attending PlayThink Festival to teach yoga alongside DJ Taz Rashid. As a lifelong music and dance lover, this experience inspired her to start learning how to incorporate djing music into her work with yoga, meditation, and empowerment coaching in a much deeper way. Youphoriafy’s choice of musicality weaves together a wide range of styles and tempos layered with high emotional tracks, energetic bursts, and grounding meditative melodies. She takes you on a full journey through a musical and movement experience accompanied by her lovely voice as gentle guidance and encouragement to move in a way that feels good. Her energy and facilitation create a safe and sacred space that encourages all people to show up fully and authentically in their own unique expression!

Ecstatic Dance is a style of dance that is based of freeform movement in which people move their bodies in ways that feel good and aligned for them. There is no expectation or judgement as to how you should move, rather the idea is to explore with self and others through presence, music, and movement. At all times during these sets, everyone is highly encouraged to be authentic with what feels right for them and their needs regardless of the suggested engagement. Youphoriafy’s mission is to bring authenticity, connection, and community through the love of music and movement!
